The Worst was probably ‘97
I would say its a tie between ‘05 and ‘06. Both have the legendary genius of John Petrucci, and Joe Satriani, but Steve Vai and Eric Johnson are kind of equal. I have to say, i kind of like Steve Vai a little better, though.
I disagree that ‘97 was the worst, i think ‘98 was the worst. Worst is kind of a bad word, though…I mean they’re all amazing…I would go with “least best”. So I think ‘98 was the least best.
